Examples of Typical Tasks:

* Supervise general operation of the kitchen in the absence of the Kitchen Manager.

* Assists Kitchen Manager in the production and serving of all food produced in the kitchen unit.

* Train and supervises food handlers and servers.

* Plan and assign daily duties for food handlers and servers.

* Plan product needs and produces the menu of the day.

* Operates all kitchen equipment in accordance with prescribed instructions.

* Observes and maintains Restaurant Services standards for production, food cost control and presentation.

* Responsible for maintaining the highest standards for food handling, sanitation and safety in order to ensure compliance with all government agency regulations.

* Performs related tasks and duties as required
